SUBHC 3rd Annual Men's 1XI Race Night
Fellow Club Members,It is with great pleasure that we invite you all to the club's 3rd annual Race Night brought to you by the Men's 1XI:
Saturday 6th December, ...the Place, 7.30pm
This fundraising event has in the past been an exciting and fun filled evening with whiff of adrenalin and horse tranquiliser in the air, as well as raising large sums of money to subsidise our hockey.
The race night format is simple:
- 9 Sponsored Races
- 8 Runners in each race
- Bets are taken on the up coming race...
- ...and those who backed the winning horse win a share of the total bets!
We are also offering you the chance to be more involved in the eveneng's procedings by allowing you to buy a horse for just £5.00 - if your horse wins, you win the sponsor's prize.
There are a limited number of horses for sale, and with prizes such as drinks tabs, meals out, wines and spirits, activity discount vouchers and much more besides you wouldn't want to miss out!!
Darius, (Aussie) Dave and Ray will be selling horses so get in there quick with your fivers and a name for your horse for the evening;

Policy
Our selection policy of no-pay, no-play will be in force from the beginning of November. If you have not paid by then you will be automatically UNAVAILABLE for the games on the weekend of 1st November onwards.

David Woodward
It is with great sadness that I inform you that David Woodward's wife died on Friday night.Many of you may know David through links with Rotherham hockey club over several the years. David has also done a huge amount of work for the development of youth hockey in South Yorkshire.
South Yorkshire Hockey Development Group are organising a small collection for David's family, and I have offered to co-ordinate this at SUBHC.
