Disappointment in the Steel City Challenge
Despite a hard fought win in the 'A' game (6-5), we failed to regain the Cup. The 'B' side were pushed hard by an experienced side and were subject to a 'Roger Lomas super strike'.The annual challenge goes on.
We are looking to run a similar day of games in the summer, Monkey and Fridge will be coordinating this later in the season.

SUBHC 1XI Race Night
Dear Club Members,Following what appeared to be a very successful evening of entertainment, I pity those who chose to stay at home with Brucie and Simon (Strictly and X-Factor) and missed out on great social and an even better curry!
Thank you to everyone involved; race sponsors, jockeys and betters alike, we could not have done it without you.
After eventually counting up all the takings and factoring in various costs of prizes and ingredients (once everyone has paid up their dues!) we should clear a profit of over £850!!!
Once again, thanks to all involved - this sort of support is where we show how much of a supportive club atmosphere we have here at Bankers! Long may it continue!

David Woodward
It is with great sadness that I inform you that David Woodward's wife died on Friday night.Many of you may know David through links with Rotherham hockey club over several the years. David has also done a huge amount of work for the development of youth hockey in South Yorkshire.
South Yorkshire Hockey Development Group are organising a small collection for David's family, and I have offered to co-ordinate this at SUBHC.
