Seen & Heard-23 JanuaryPosted by banzai
Thank goodness Hockey's back with a decent turn out at the Notty later.
SEEN-The thrashing of Stockton by our two's-8-1-with a 4 timer from the better looking Downham twin-Chris. The pacy threesome in our ladies team-"Tiger","the noisy Flying Irish Filly" and "Rampant" and an impressive MoM debut from Sadie who has joined us from Hallam and came back to the Notty with her fella Ashley who has evinced interest in playing our game( Rotherham Utd trialistwho plays footie on a Sunday). We lost 3-2. Will Beeching in flip flops with snow surrounding the pitch-mad,sad or hard? Hannah's parents enjoying the excellent chilli. Studsie,in close contact withh Shanie(pronounced SHANE)and drinking just soft drinks. Why, I wondered at the time but I now know the reason!! Studie's wallet found on the floor gave me the answer! HEARD-Will Beeching, when offered an excellent cup of coffee,replying"..not at my AGE.."cheeky sod"! "Tiger"(Fruitbat)Woods-thought the ladies score was a fairish reflection(3-2) and when asked,Thespo Seaton thought 13-2 would have been more accurate scoreline and quick as a flash the former asked Seats"..were you watching.."? and just as speedy was his, mortified, response, no, I WAS UMPIRING!!They say, don't they that good umpires are not noticed! If I've missed anything else of interest, my apologies. By the way the short but blatant love note by the TD's chair was not, alas, for me(disappointment courses thru' the veins )and it has now been consigned to the proverbial.Lovely, girlie handwriting- tho'-it could have been... Finally, thanks to all who have entered the SIX NATIONS COMPETITION-there will be a further chance this coming Saturday and Neil Harrison is putting the form on our site.Goodbye for now,Bob [Submitted by banzai] |
