It's a lovely, cold, crisp winter's Sunday, as was yesterday and I suppose "brass monkeyish" would also be a fair expression.
Despite this, it was good to see a slimmed down version of Davo, albeit only a stone & a half, watching both the 6's and the 3's trying to score, and as an ace striker(slower but still deadly),last season was getting frustrated. It was good to see him in the Notty later with his mates.Like MacArthur(who? say the young)-he promised to return.
Another, marginally slimmer body seen on the pitch was Mo, making his umpteenth comeback, this time for the 6's..alas, to no avail.He was accompanied by the ever lovely Lucy, beautfully co-ordinated in black & white and last seen in the Notty, downing "several" bottles of cider,quickly,with the forecast that she would-probably-be unsober. What do folk see in cider-rotting apples,full of worms being fermented...?
Also heard our girls travelled for an uncivilised start- 4.30- at Leeds Carneige, only for the game to be abandobed.!!Waiting for more details.
Despite a pretty full house at the Notty at around 5.15 when the writer had to leave for his assignation with Ali,Ola,Lilia and the well upholstered Russian called Christina,(at this stage a certain Laura would have said "...you wish.."nothing wrong with that in my view) the place(hate that word) seemed strangely quiet and then we realised, our own firecracker Christina was not in the pub choosing instead to be pushing cars in deep snow.
Lastly,it has been rumoured that a "Guess the Bra Size Comp" is due to be announced soon and I now have a good source of inside info, from someone in one of the lower sides , who might just be da man to follow! Good exam week to you all.Bob
